We are having a lunar eclipse! Here’s my best effort:

It looks decent but the focus just isn’t there.
Since it was –16ºC with a –22ºC wind chill, I was in no rush to go back outdoors. It wasn’t ridiculously cold, but it gets to you far quicker when you’re not moving and have your gloves off half the time, manipulating metal equipment. Unfortunately, the next total lunar eclipse visible from North America will be in December 2010, and December isn’t known for its balmy temperatures. What would please me is this next eclipse being visible from my balcony so I don’t have to lug all my gear outside into the snow!

Focus or not, great picture Rick. I missed it, guess I’ll have to wait a few more years!

Ya gotta love that 400mil, Rick!
Focus isn’t so much the problem„ I think its more just just shutter time . Anything longer than 1/15th appears to show signs of motion blur.
