Taken from the edge of the Niagara Escarpment at Queenston Heights Park, the silhouette of Toronto appears in the background, Niagara-on-the-Lake in the foreground, and Lake Ontario between them.

According to Google Maps, Toronto is about 60 kilometres distant, or a 125 kilometre drive if you prefer to limit your route to dry land.

The relative distances are not as they appear. From the camera position to the edge of the lake is a mere 13 kilometres. The distance across the lake at this point is about 47 kilometres.
