In a struggle to be happy and free

Mistakes and acceptance

We all have parts of ourselves that we don’t like. I certainly know that I do. I’ve done things I wish I could take back and never tell anyone about. The problem is these things make up part of who we are today. Erasing them would change us.

The trick is to find someone who can love us for who we are, flaws and all. Someone who can accept that we’ve made bad decisions, that we regret them, but that we can also take some good from our mistakes and be a better person for it.

Those people in our lives who really listen to us and accept us, flaws and all, are the precious few worth facing the day for. Cherish every such person you have in your life. Each one of them makes you a better person.

Is someone masquerading as me on your journal site?? Or could there possibly be another person out there with THE SAME NAME AS MINE?!
