I ordered a number of things from Amazon a while back and received the order last week. My only disappointment was a CD that had a visible scuff on the surface and wouldn’t rip properly. I avoided dealing with it for nearly a week but finally got to it this weekend.
I went to amazon.ca, logged into my account and looked for information about returns. I followed the proper link and was given the choice of paying for return shipping and being credited for the expense, or if I had a printer, I could print a few pages and return it on their dime. The latter, please!
Two pages were printed. One was a simple bar code that I’m to include inside the package. The other is the prepaid shipping label. They also ask that I include the invoice I received with the CD. No problem there. And as part of this process, a replacement was automatically ordered for me.
The replacement arrived yesterday. Now all I need to do is apply the pre-paid shipping label to the box in which the replacement came, bundle the scuffed CD, the bar code printout, and the original invoice inside, and send it off. Easy!
Now that is the way to handle way to handle a return. Plain and simple.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with amazon.ca… Their prices are great, shipping is usually fast (there are exceptions), and no company I am aware of can beat their selection of titles…Kudos.
