Sony eyes Apple’s coat-tails

A posting on Sony’s electronics blog made me cringe. It’s called Sony and Apple: Two Birds of a Feather or Twins of Different Mothers. The writer, Rick Clancy, senior vice president of Corporate Communications at Sony U.S.A., seems hell-bent at hitching their cart to Apple’s horse.

Efficiency and the unknown

Three days ago, I didn’t expect to be testing a content management system. It started with a member of the Journals mailing list I’m subscribed to asking for help in figuring out why her entries were not rendering properly for some users. I went to look at her site and saw it was far more sophisticated than content management systems were capable of handling even a few years ago.

My interest was piqued.

Wandering through the software I stumbled upon a link to Matthew Mullenweg’s blog. He’s the founding developer behind WordPress. That’s all well and good, but what really caught my notice, besides his blog’s beautiful title graphic, is the URL. It’s http://ma.tt/. How’s that for geek cool?

You know where I’m going with this, right?
